One of Houston’s oldest choral organizations, the HTMC Chorus has been entertaining this city for more than 80 years. Our members come from all over the Greater Houston area and include professionals from many different fields, joining their voices in their love of music. We prepare and present two diverse programs each year for the club (one for Christmas and one for Spring) and we perform 10-12 times in outreach concerts.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 10:00am - noon at First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main, or starting at noon at Emerson Unitarian Church, 1900 Bering on regular Houston Tuesday Musical Club meeting days.
Longtime Chorus Director Carolyn Thompson is retiring at the end of this season after 17 years leading our group. We will miss her dedication and wonderful talent and wish her well in her future endeavors. Thank you, Carolyn, for all you have done.
Alicia Chew will be taking over in September for the 2017-18 Season.
We welcome new chorus members! Please call for a complete rehearsal schedule or about 1st or 2nd soprano and 1st or 2nd alto auditions. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact our Director, Alicia Chew at 832-881-7201 or chorus@HoustonTuesdayMusicalClub.org.
